The $100 million Stadium Rail Project will see the construction of a station and associated rail infrastructure. It is part of a $358 million package for public transport infrastructure at the site and will enable up to 28,000 passengers to depart the new Perth Stadium within an hour of an event.
The project involves the construction of new station, platforms and rail track adjacent to the new Perth Stadium in Burswood, Perth. The project will be constructed for the Perth Transport Authority (PTA) by Laing O''Rourke and AECOM as the Prism Alliance, with works commencing in mid 2015 and finishing in mid 2017.
